Hassan Jameel the Deputy President and Vice Chairman of ALJ

Hassan Jameel is the Vice Chairman, Deputy President, and a member of the board of a global family-owned business known as Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ). This firm was set up in Saudi Arabia in 1945 by the late Abdul Latif Jameel. This company is found across six continents, including Africa, North and South America, Asia, the Pacific, and Europe, covering nearly 30 countries. It has employed about 11,000 people from 40 different countries.

Hassan Jameel worked in japan at Toyota Motor Corporation before joining this firm. While in Japan, he acquired entrepreneurship skills that he later employed in leading his main tasks of overseeing the main aspects of Abdul Latif Jameel, including machinery, land, real estate, and automotive operations. He also focuses on revolutionizing the interaction of the business with its guests and partners and digitization of the firm’s processes. Jameel leads this firm’s domestic division from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Jameel is also a Vice-Chairman of an independent and global organization called Community Jameel, founded in 2003. This organization was established to carry on with Jameel Family’s humanitarian acts. It tackled some of the most critical issues and challenges globally using an approach that based on science and technology.

Hassan Jameel is a founding board participant of the Family Business Council- Gulf, a firm that supports the development and advancement of businesses in North Africa and the Middle East. He is a former board member of Rivian and currently sits on the Dean’s Advisory Council of MIT School of Engineering and the board of the University of Tokyo. Jameel is also an advisor on the board of CoMotion. Hassan Jameel was a scholar at the Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Economics, and at London Business School, where he got an MBA. He speaks Arabic, English, and Japanese.
